How to Promote PEACE in America

OLB & kidsI know you care.

The fact that you’re reading this means you’re committed to growing and learning about love.

Today I want to talk with you about promoting peace and leading with love. With everything that has happened recently, many are wondering, “What is going on?”  Our hearts have grown weary of the violence.  The question I want us to consider together is, “What can we do?”

Here in ‘Love Box Land’ we’re praying and promoting  ways to #Share More Love.  Don’t you think it’s time we increase the frequency and intensity of love with our family, friends and communities?  You know, LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR.  We believe it’s time to counterbalance fear with faith, peace and love.

Mother Theresa said, “What can you do to promote world peace?  Go home and love your family.”  That’s the place to start.  “You must see that there is love at home and at your next-door neighbor’s and in the street you live in, in the town you live in and only then outside.

You see, we’re all family – brothers and sisters in God’s family.

There are many things we can do to promote peace and love – from random acts of kindness, to getting to know your neighbors to speaking up and one of my favorites  whispering or holding our tongue instead of yelling.  Love is slow to anger and rich in compassion.

What has helped our family build a foundation of love and celebrate differences is the ‘Original Love Box’ tradition.  Before even writing a love note you need to think about the other person and answer these 2 questions.

  1.  What do you love about the other person?
  2.  How is the person a gift to you?
Love Your Neighbor

Love Your Neighbor

When you take some time to reflect on these questions and then write love notes, you are creating a precious gift and intimate connection.  When you write your feelings down and then speak it to the other person, you’re creating tighter bond.   Then when you re-read the notes over and over again, you are multiplying your loving feelings and re-living the loving moments.

I pray it continues to heal and build up others.  We are humbled that thousands of people have done the tradition so far.  Last week we got a shipment of NEW Original Love Boxes.  In a limited quantity.  You can find out more on the shop page.

Let’s be #Love Agents who are on a mission to love others.  Bigger.  Broader. More.  We can do this by loving others with our thoughts, prayers, words and actions.

Let’s turn up the heat on Love.

Love is the only force that will overcome hatred and ultimately, unite us.

I wonder, “How can we build a ‘Love Revolution’ that will sweep across America?”  I certainly don’t have all the answers but I would like to talk with you about the question.  I would love to hear your thoughts and explore if you would like to align  efforts.

So the final question and challenge is:  What are you doing to GROW love in your family or community?

We’re all going to need to pitch in to SEE CHANGE.  I KNOW we can do this.

How To Write a Cherished Love Note

Do you want to express your love in writing but not really sure how? Don’t you worry. We’re here to help you get those loving words flowing.

This excerpt from The Christmas Love Box book highlights how to create a cherished love note.

1. Quiet down and listen to your heart.
2. Think about the other person. Let all the love, fondness and appreciation that your feel for them flow out of you.
3. Start writing and don’t stop until you’re happy with the note.

To get you going, here are some love note starters:

1. What I love (or like) about you is . . . .
2. You are a precious gift to me (or others) because . . .
3. You are special and unique because . . .

You can keep these one-of-a-kind notes in the keepsake Christmas Love Box. They will be read over and over again. It’s the gift that keeps giving all year long.

To get the Christmas Love Box in time for Christmas, purchase before Dec. 17th.

The CLB Challenge

What is the CLB Challenge?

The CLB challenge is that you will share the gift of love, by writing love notes to your family and friends this holiday season. You’re committed to building a foundation of love in your family with the Christmas Love Box tradition.

We are committed to creating a new world of love.

A long, long time ago people thought the the more presents you gave at Christmas showed others how much you loved them. The holidays got over commercialized and ‘sucked the life force’ out of many people.

NOT ANYMORE

We are inspired.

The Spirit of Love is Powerful.

We will give the gift of love,
One note at a time.

May the ‘Love Force’ be with you.

Will you join the CLB challenge?

Love Heals!

“The greatest healing therapy is friendship and love.” Hubert Humphrey

As Kim says, “I’m finding people are walking around and not feeling very appreciated or loved whether it’s with our kids or in our families or at work.” Like cracked glass, we can feel broken at times. We want to be put back together again and feel whole. We can heal our relationships and Kim shows us the way.

This video highlights Kim’s brave story. She shared words of affirmation and appreciation with not one or two but twelve people in her extended family! Can you imagine?

Kim stepped out in unconditional love because she felt strongly about helping each person in her immediate and extended family ‘find their voice’. Look at how Kim lights up as she describes how everyone reacted to her and everyone become closer.

If you or anyone you know comes from a family that felt broken, you know what a courageous story this is. Here’s to stopping the cycle of chaos and sharing unconditional love. Thank you Kim for your courageous efforts to be the ‘linchpin of love’ in your family.

Why Celebrate Christmas in July?

So, why are we celebrating ‘Christmas in July’? Are we crazy? Well, maybe a little, but there’s also a much deeper reason.

We celebrate the Spirit of Christmas in July because it reminds us of the love of Christ and gives us time to reconnect with family. We can start the ‘Christmas Love Box’ tradition when our lives are a little less hectic. It’s fun and brings everyone closer together!

Here’s what the Blake family has to say about the Christmas Love Box tradition. I hope you find it inspiring. We sure do.

Love of Family, Not of Gifts.
By: Mrs. Blake

For the Blake family, Christmas was both a treat and an extra special blessing of love and commitment with our first ‘Christmas Love Box’. While I must say we were a bit skeptical of the perceived power and blessings in store for us, each of us was definitely impacted and thrilled by the end of the day.

When we received the ‘Christmas Love Box’ package, each member of our family was asked to participate by presenting kind thoughts to everyone else. I was amazed by their willingness to engage in the process (must be trust of their Nana)! With lots of love, humor, respect and heart felt love; everyone wrote individual love notes to other family members and were (amazingly so) willing to read them aloud.

The tears, love and gift of the real purpose of Christmas took front stage . . . how can we forget the birth of Christ and His saving grace!!!

The best of the best was from my husband. . . who is not a gift/materialistic kind of guy who said: ‘WOW, finally, we remember Christmas for what it’s all about . . . LOVE of Family and not of gifts.”

So our question to you is, “Why not celebrate Christmas in July?”

Let’s share more love – all year long.
